Episode 109 of Hunger Games Fireside Chat will air live this Tuesday, June 4, at 10pm ET/7pm PT! This week, our panel of experts will include Arianna from Down with the Capitol, Crystal from Mockingjay.net and FictionalFood.net, Kait from Victor’s Village, and Tiffany from Welcome to District 12!

What do we have planned for our first episode of June 2013?

– We’ll start out by dishing (yes, dishing) on the brand new spring issue of Capitol Couture (the title of which is “Chroma Nouveau,” hence the name of this episode).

– We’ll also discuss a very important detail that was revealed on the bottom of the latest Catching Fire poster: the name of the new music supervisor, Alexandra Patsavas! (Major thanks to The Hob for catching it).

– Lastly, we’ll weigh in on all the latest Mockingjay filming location rumors!

Thanks for putting up with our day switch! We’ll be back to Mondays as usual next week. 🙂

You can chat with other listeners throughout the live show by using our hashtag #HGFiresideChat on Twitter! We recommend TweetChat to easily follow along with the conversation.

  • I immediately noticed Alexandra Patsavas’ name when the poster came out. Though I will admit that it was sad to know that T- Bone Burnett would not be returning, I did research Patsavas and she just so happens to have an extensive background in successful tv shows such as Mad Men and Grey’s Anatomy. She also worked on the Twilight Saga, in which she received 2 Grammy nominations. This reinforces my belief that she’ll choose some pretty interesting artists for the soundtrack.

    • The Twilight movies soundtracks are pretty great, way too good for those movies, with people like Florence and the Machine, Muse, Thom Yorke, Bat For Lashes etc. They even got Florence to write a song for Eclipse (the awesome “Heavy in Your Arms”, which, however – fortunately – is not about the characters from Twilight, but “inspired by some of the themes” as she said). It would be great if she did a song for THG.

  • Mel Cally says:

I noticed when it comes to Patsavas this is her second time working with Lawrence (Water for Elephants).

She seems how to pick the perfect bands for each movie. (Forgive the following comment I’m about to write because it sounds extremely pretentious) but I don’t listen to a lot a mainstream music (not that I don’t like it) and the movies and TV shows I’ve seen that she worked on happen to have really good music behind them; some even playing a big plot development for the movie like in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and “Warm Bodies”.

I wasn’t quiet sure what a Music Supervisor does, but after a quick Googling, I think I’m game to hear what she brings to the table!
