Due to Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, Episode 90 of Hunger Games Fireside Chat will air live this FRIDAY, December 28, at 10pm ET/7pm PT! This week, our panel of experts will include Arianna and Aldrin from Down with the Capitol, Crystal of Mockingjay.net, Rebekah of Victor’s Village, and Ariel of Nerdy, Wordy, and Over Thirty.

Well, we’ve made it to the end of another year. And what a year it’s been! Our first episode of 2012 was called “The Year of The Hunger Games,” and that definitely ended up being a pretty accurate moniker. It’s hard to believe everything that’s happened over the last 360-something days!

Here’s what we have planned for Friday night:

– We’ll kick off our last show of 2012 by celebrating the end of Catching Fire filming. Woohoo!

– Adam and Savanna will share their Top 5 Hunger Games Moments of 2012 and play some short clips from past episodes that correspond to each of those moments. Our panelists will also share some of their top moments of 2012. We also want to know what YOUR favorite moments were, so please share them in a comment below. We’ll read as many of your lists as possible during the show.

Here are some links to things we referenced in the show tonight:
Our interview with Josh Hutcherson
Our interview with Amandla Stenberg
Our Ustream from Los Angeles before the world premiere of The Hunger Games
Photos/video from our experiences in L.A. during the world premiere weekend

Lastly: Don’t forget to enter our The Hunger Games 12 Days of Christmas giveaway! We’ve teamed up with Lionsgate to give away copies of the Hunger Games DVD and Catching Fire book. You have until 11:59pm ET on December 29, 2012 to enter.

You can chat with other listeners throughout the live show by using our hashtag #HGFiresideChat on Twitter! We recommend TweetChat to easily follow along with the conversation.

For me my favorite hunger games moment was in the movie the chariot parade. I loved that scene always gave me goosebumps. I have it as my wallpaper on my iPad.

My other favorite hunger games moment was attending the mall tour in Scottsdale Arizona. I got to meet a lot of really great hunger games fans and see some of the stars from the movies.

I can’t wait for catching fire,i also hope to meet Josh Hutcherson one day, he is such a great actor.

My absolute favorite Hunger Games moment? Hmmm….
Well, the moment when the Hunger Games movie started for the first time, was pretty exciting. The rush of adrenaline, the excited silence in the theater, and the loud thumping of everyone’s hearts as the movie started to play was simply amazing. You could just feel the Hunger Games powered energy in the theater. Even though no one in there had seen the movie yet, everyone knew it was going to be good. Actually, that it’d be better than good. They knew it would be the start of something fantastic. So, yeah, that was a pretty great moment. 🙂

  • Well, as you guys know, I wasn’t able to be a part of the movie experience there because I’m far away, but you all (including all the sites well represented by that picutre) made it easy to enjoy with you and feel like a part of it anyway. I have a lot of favorite Hunger Games moments of 2012 during the release of the movie, but one moment that is in my memory was when I attended the Buenos Aires International book fair and, when I stepped in the section of the publisher that has HG, I saw that all the employees were wearing Mockingjay pins on their shirts and, when one saw mine, he recognized it and we talked about the books. Apart from the fandom I could see blooming here, that moment was when I realized that the spark had definetly ignited down here too. Fireside Chat-wise, one of my favorite moments was when you guys did the video Ustream all together, it was really fun and the episode was amazing!

  • My Most memorable moments from this year are definitly of course the release of the movie and the midnight premire of that and of course going to get the movie at midnight when it came out on DVD. Another great moment for me was when the started casting the catching Fire cast. I also think a great memory for me wwas when I first started listening to the show which was your 50th show. I also remember going to all of my speech meets wearing my mockingjay necklace and had one o my judges mention it and we talked about it for like an hour. My all time fav moment though has to be sitting down in the theater and one the movie was over literally sitting in my sit for 30 minutes after crying because I was so overwhelmed with happiness.

  • Top THG moments of 2012 in no particular order – The compilation soundtrack for THG, Taking pics with the cast, meeting all my new THG friends at the THG premiere including Savanna and Adam, Watching the movie for the first time with all my new friends, and getting 2 comic panels of the Reaping drawn for me as a Christmas present from my sister. 🙂
