Miss it live? No problem! Click here to listen, or use the embedded player below.
Episode 30 of Hunger Games Fireside Chat will air live on Monday, October 24, at 10pm ET/7pm PT! This week, our panel of experts will include some of our fabulous friends from Down with the Capitol. We’ll also be joined by Crystal of Mockingjay.net and FictionalFood.net, Sam of District Tribute, Rebekah of Victor’s Village, Ariel of Nerdy, Wordy, and Almost Thirty, and Kim of Reflections of a Book Addict.
– We’ll kick off the show by discussing the latest Hunger Games-related news (or lack thereof), including Jackie Emerson and Dayo Okeniyi’s awesome livestream event. If you missed it, you can watch the whole thing here (look for a Fireside Chat shout out at 24:00!).
– We’ll weigh on a Victor’s Village article about the “race card” as it relates to casting.
– Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement, we’ll talk about economic disparity in Panem as compared to present-day economic inequality in the United States. Could we be headed towards a Panem-like future?
– The show will conclude with a new, interactive game that we think you’ll get a big kick out of! You can play along at home with our panelists.
You can chat with other listeners throughout the live show by using our hashtag #HGFiresideChat on Twitter! We recommend TweetChat to easily follow along with the conversation.
