Official: Bruno Gunn Cast as Brutus Wednesday 08 August, 2012

At noon ET today, Lionsgate announced that Bruno Gunn will be playing Bruno in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire! BRUno as BRUtus? We see what you did there. While we aren’t familiar with Bruno’s work, we definitely think he looks intimidating enough to convincingly portray the District 2 victor!

About the Character:
Brutus is a former Career victor from District 2.

Bruno Gunn:
Bruno Gunn is originally from Ohio, he caught the attention of NYC audiences and critics performing on stage with award winning companies such as UBU Rep and Ensemble Studio Theatre. His first taste of Hollywood came when Woody Allen cast him in “Celebrity”. Supporting roles in “Mickey Blue Eyes” and “28 Days” quickly followed. Bruno has co-starred in a variety of critically acclaimed indies including; “Oxygen,” “Bad Penny”, “Herbie Fully Loaded”, “Battlefield America” and the recently released comedy, “Bad Teacher”. Gunn is frequently seen guest starring on the small screen as well. TV credits include: “The Office”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “NCIS: Los Angeles”, “Sons Of Anarchy”, “CSI”, “Navy NCIS”, “Prison Break”, and HBO’s “Oz”.
