5/24/13: Cool Stuff We Found This Week Friday 24 May, 2013

Since we didn’t do a show last week, we also decided to take a week off from posting a new installment of CSWFTW. But now we’re back, and we have some really neat things to share with you! Our selections this week definitely run the gamut, so we hope you like variety!

(And remember, if you ever come across anything that you think should be featured here, email us at FiresideHosts@gmail.com OR tweet us at @HGFiresideChat!)

First up is a video that you may have seen already, since it’s been making the fan site rounds and has now been viewed over 174,000 times. Created by CineFix, it’s a completely homemade “replica” of the Catching Fire teaser trailer. Believe us when we say that it’s a must-watch.

Hunger Games fans are so creative and talented!

This piece of fan art is by Michael Bucci, and…well…we hope you have some tissues handy. Michael has beautifully depicted Finnick’s final moment using ballpoint pen and Photoshop CS5. Do you think we might see flashes of these images in the movie?

Next up is another piece of fan art by deviantART user yukisei. We thought we’d feature this here since Sam Claflin recently confirmed in an interview that the CPR scene WAS filmed… Do you think it will look anything like this?

If there’s one thing we’ve noticed a lack of in the Hunger Games fandom, it’s puppets. So we hope one of you will buy Cascayu’s cute Hunger Games finger puppets — or make your own — and put on a show. (Be sure to film your puppet show and put it on YouTube so we can all see it!)

Lastly, we have another piece of amazing fan art. This is by deviantART user Nani-Mi and features Peeta watching Katniss from afar as she walks home from school with Prim. So adorable!
