2/8/13: Cool Stuff We Found This Week Friday 08 February, 2013

Welcome to another installment of Cool Stuff We Found This Week!

Our first find is this incredible piano cover of “Horn of Plenty” by mnemechan. In case you’ve forgotten, “Horn of Plenty” is Panem’s national anthem, as written for the first film. mnemechan’s piano skills are so incredible and lend so much power to this song!

Next up is a beautiful fan-made music video that focuses on Peeta’s love for Katniss. It’s set to the song “Kiss Me” by Ed Sheeran, a personal favorite of Savanna’s that fits Peeta’s feelings surprisingly well! Kudos to BarneyProductions354, whose amazing editing skills really make this video stand out!

We discovered this next bit of “cool stuff” on Welcome to District 12’s Tumblr. It’s a fan-made mock-up of a Capitol magazine featuring Finnick Odair on the cover. Click here or on the image below to see some pages from inside the magazine! It was created by the extremely talented jonquille, and we sort of wish it were real.

The last thing we found is a [fake] Capitol poster that has been “vandalized” by a supporter of the Rebellion! We love how authentic this poster looks and think it would make a really cool print to hang. While we found the poster on little-cheshire-cat’s Tumblr, we’re not sure who the creator is, so if you know, leave us a comment below and we’ll give credit where credit is due!
