It’s that time of the year again! If you have a Hunger Games fan — or several — in your life and still haven’t bought him or her a present for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/etc., then you’re in luck! For her latest Hunger Games Countdown article, Perri Nemiroff of Movies.com asked the fan sites to pick out some unique gifts that are sure to put a smile on your favorite Tribute’s face. 😉
Savanna’s pick and some of our favorites are shown below. You can see the rest of the gift guide and PICTURES of all the gifts at Movies.com!
Hunger Games-Inspired Handmade Soy Candles
Wondering what to get for a Hunger Games fan who already has, well, everything? If the Tribute in your life is also a candle lover, then you should definitely check out Liz Shulze’s line of handmade soy candles inspired by the trilogy. Our favorite is the Quarter Quell candle, which has a tropical floral and Patchouli-based scent reminiscent of the arena in Catching Fire – a tropical paradise with “a much darker and dangerous undertone.” The line also includes a cotton candy Capitol candle, a honey and opium-scented Tracker Jacker candle, a District 7 candle that smells like a pine forest, and a sterile-yet-soothing District 13 candle.

The Hunger Games 2013 Easel Desk Calendar
There’s no better way to count down to the release of the Catching Fire movie than with a desk calendar. I’ve long had an obsession with desk calendars. Sometimes I keep them by my bed so that the first thing I do in the morning is flip to the new day as a way to start my day. Sometimes I keep them on my desk at work so that I can feel like something about my environment is constantly changing. This desk calendar will help me to remember my favorite scenes from The Hunger Games movie and also remind me that getting out of bed in the morning will never be as bad as waking up in the arena. And you bet that every day I flip the calendar, I’ll think to myself: “May the odds be ever in my favor!”
