10/19/12: Cool Stuff We Found This Week Friday 19 October, 2012

First, we have some AMAZING Catching Fire concept art by industrial designer and illustrator Daniel Lecky (of Lecky Designs). Please note that this concept art is fan-made and totally unofficial. That being said, we love most of the pieces so much that we hope certain aspects of the film end up with a similar look! We included a few samples below (click here to see the rest).

Next up is another “Disney meets The Hunger Games” mash-up video (we posted one a few weeks ago). Before you say anything, we’re fully aware of just how ridiculous this one is. But it’s so funny, we couldn’t not include it this week.

Election Day is less than a month away for those of us in the U.S. Why not confuse the voting public by slapping this Everdeen-Mellark 2012 bumper sticker on your car? Hunger Games fans will get it and love you for it, everyone else will be really confused and probably go home and Google the names. Who knows, maybe you’ll inspire a few people to read the series! ($5.20 at Cafepress)

Last — but not least! — is a really cool new project called The Hunger Games Fandom Directory. The Directory is part of the Sullen & Hostile network and is sort of like an online Rolodex for Hunger Games fans. Categories in the Directory include Blogs, Fansite News, Podcasts, Galleries, Official Sites, Shopping, and more. It’s a great starting-off point for new fandom members who aren’t quite sure where to go first and a great resource for existing fans who might not know about everything that’s out there!
