8/31/12: Cool Stuff We Found This Week Friday 31 August, 2012

It can’t be the end of August. Can it? Summer may be on its way out, but at least we have some cool Hunger Games stuff to make us feel better. And filming should start any day now, which is incredibly exciting!

The first thing we found this week was this lovely fan video dedicated to Peeta and Katniss’s relationship and featuring the beautiful song “Falling Slowly” by Glen Hansard (if you’ve seen the movie Once, you’ll know it). This is our current favorite Hunger Games fan video, and for good reason. Get the Kleenex ready — it’s a tearjerker.

Next up is a pretty fantastic Hunger Games-inspired song by Nick from Double or Nothing. The song is called “Catching Fire” and it seems to be from Peeta’s perspective. There are a lot of Hunger Games songs out there, but this one really stood out to us. Let us know what you think!

Now we’re going to cheat a little, since we didn’t actually find them this week, but we really wanted to take a moment and introduce you to our awesome friends at Panem Propaganda and show you some of the AMAZING merchandise they’ve designed. We’ve included our favorite designs below, and you can click on each one to go to a page full of stuff you can buy with that design on it (T-shirts, hoodies iPhone cases, totes bags, the works!). And click HERE to see ALL of their designs!

I absolutely loved the Catching Fire song, I am going to post it everywhere I can. I loved it, His voice is amazing and its really a tear jerking song. I just wow. I think that could most definitly if made popular enough be on the next soundtrack no doubt about it.

Wow…the Catching Fire song is amazing. It definitely needs to be way more well known then it is right now.
