Panelist of the Week: Arianna Tuesday 10 July, 2012
To help you all get to know our regular panelists a bit better, we’ll be spotlighting one (or two!) here each week — or whenever we have the chance!
This week, we’d like you to meet Arianna, an admin at Down with the Capitol! If you watched MTV’s livestream of the Hunger Games world premiere in L.A., you might recognize Arianna since she co-hosted the freakin’ thing with Josh Horowitz!
Which is your favorite book in the series?
Arianna: My favorite book in the Hunger Games trilogy is Catching Fire. One of my favorite characters is Finnick so of course I love his introduction to the series as well as his time spent in the area. I also absolutely love the concept Suzanne Collins had of making the arena like a clock.
What do your friends and family think of your Hunger Games obsession?
Arianna: My fiancé is very supportive of my obsession with The Hunger Games. He understands that DWTC is a huge part of my life so he’s always asking “Have you updated your site today?” My dad and sister are huge fans of the series as a lot of my friends are but they think I’m slightly more obsessed then a normal person should be.
Which district would you most like to live in?
Arianna: I would love to live in District 4 because I love the water. Plus I love Finnick so I would probably be one of his fangirls chasing him around the town.
Which Hunger Games character do you think you are most like?
Arianna: I feel like I’m most like Peeta. I love to bake and from what my friends have told me I’m a sweet person (most of the time).
Which two tributes (victors included) would you most want to ally with in the arena?
Arianna: I would want to ally with Katniss and Peeta because they are the only two that survived together. Plus they seem more sane then other tributes.
If you could ask Suzanne Collins ONE question about the series, what would it be?
Arianna: I would ask Suzanne why did she kill off Finnick and if she had let him live, what type of life would he have after the war was over?
What are some of your interests outside of The Hunger Games?
Arianna: I’m an animal lover so I spend a lot of time tending to my 4 cats, 3 dogs, 3 snakes, 6 lizards, 3 frogs, and a chameleon names Camo. I love the outdoors so I spend a lot of my time hiking or running on my favorite back road in my old home town. I’m also a Disney fanatic so I’m always trying to configure a way to get to Southern California so I can visit Mickey Mouse.
