7/20/12: Cool Stuff We Found This Week Friday 20 July, 2012
So, this has definitely been another eventful week! On Tuesday, we learned that Amanda Plummer — best known for her work in Pulp Fiction — will be playing Wiress! We’ve already found a ton of cool graphics featuring Amanda as Wiress, so we thought we’d share some of our favorites with you! You can click each image for a full-size version.
The next cool thing we found this week is an initiative called Staples for Students. While this doesn’t relate directly to The Hunger Games, the social justice themes in the trilogy are so important, and we would be remiss as fans if we didn’t try to make a difference in our own world.
That being said, the new school year is only about a month away for most students, and Staples and DoSomething.org have teamed up to help the 16 million kids in the U.S. who can’t afford to buy basic school supplies like paper and pencils. If you’d like to get involved, you can purchase supplies and drop them off at your local Staples store, organize a drive in your community, or simply spread the word on Twitter, Facebook, or Tumblr. For each share, $1 will be donated to provide supplies for students in need. How amazing is that? Click the image below to learn more.
