  • Elise says:

My favorite moment has been seeing Catching Fire for the first time on opening weekend. It changed the way I looked at the whole series and really impacted my life from that moment.

  • Erin says:

I think my most memorable moment has been going to the first movie opening night, all dressed up as Katniss and being so excited only to discover that I loved the movie even more than I had thought I would. My friend even drove several hours to come and see it with me.

  • Kayley says:

My most memorable moment was attending the Catching Fire Fan Camp and standing for hours on concrete to meet some of the cast, like Willow Shields and Josh Hutcherson.

  • Juan Ciccone says:

I remember going to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 on it’s opening weekend and tearing up when Philip Seymour Hoffman appeared on screen. It came out a couple months after his death and it was at that moment I realized that once this franchise ends, I will never see another Philip Seymour Hoffman film ever. It just made me appreciate The Hunger Games all the more. I loved going to see every movie in theaters from the beginning, but now that the last film is coming, it’s just so much more meaningful. It’s like saying our final goodbyes to such an amazing actor.

    • Savanna says:

      Beautifully said Juan! 🙂

  • D Gonzalez says:

I loved when Katniss and Peeta were going to poison themselves instead of trying to kill eachother. Either two victors or no victors. It was the first time that Katniss took control and became the true hero.

  • Emerson Avalos says:

My favorite part in the series is when Katniss volunteers as tribute. Fearless from the first moment. It’s how I try to be. Fearless.

  • Stacie R. says:

The most memorable moment about THG is reading the books and seeing the movies.

  • Cassidy says:

One of my most memorable moments was during the opening night of Catching Fire, when everyone in District 11 did the three-finger salute, the theater did it with them. Which was really awesome lol

  • Jc says:

    I gave josh a mustache keychain… Dont know why but i did😂

    • Savanna says:

      When did this happen?? 😛

  • Mel Cally says:

Probably the most memorable THG experience was being able to attend the Atlanta stop in The Hunger Games Tour back in 2012. I got to meet Liam, Amandla, Dayo, Jack, and Leven! We had to drive 2 hours, wait 8 hours for the event to start and stand in line with so many people! To think they had to do that to hype the movies release! It’s been such an amazing ride! Without this franchise I wouldn’t have been able to reconnect with a friend from my past, but because of our love for the series we’re now best friends! I’m so excited, I can’t believe it’s about to be over!

Oh yeah, and I’ll miss these chats. 😭😭😭

    • Savanna says:

Haha yes! We remember those tour stops well! You are one of the original fans! 🙂

  • Annie B says:

Its so hard for me to chose a single memory, I have had so many amazing ones. I love looking back at all the various episodes of HGFiresideChat and all the conversations I had and the people I have met. The Hunger Games premiere was amazing and so spectacular. Last year for Mockingjay Part 1 my friends and I did the marathon with a bunch of other fans and that was absolutely crazy and so much fun. My all time favorite memory however, has to be making my own Hunger Games fan page on Facebook and watching it grow and eventually meeting my best friend Kim through that page. There have been so many great memories, but just because its the end of the movie releases, it doesn’t mean its the end of the memories or even the end of making new memories.

  • My favorite moment was seeing the first Hunger Games movie in the theater with my wife! It was/is a great movie (as is the movies that have followed). But the first movie was the beginning of something special in the film series. And for that reason, it’s my favorite memory!

  • chickie brewer says:

MY favorite moment was when I found out they were both going to live.

  • Trinace Cousin says:

My favorite moment has been sharing all of this with my daughter. This is something we will have memories of to share forever.

  • Christopher Karber says:

For Catching Fire I got to go to one of the movie premieres and it was amazing! I got to walk the red carpet, had my picture taken, watch interviews with the cast, and of course watch the movie! Such an amazing experience!

  • It'sAMockingjay says:

My most memorable moment was not being able to pay attention at work because all I could think about was going to see Catching Fire which was my first trip to the theater in 15 years. And now we go every year to see these movies a sad thing since this is the last one. So, that and the fact that a year later my sisters and I sat in the same exact theater seats for MJP1. There are many but those stand out the most. All bittersweet!

  • My most memorable Hunger Games moment in the last four years has been going to the Catching Fire Fan Camp in 2013. I got to not only meet the new actors and Francis Lawrence, but I got to make great new friends. We went to the Catching Fire premiere together and the Mockingjay Part 1 premiere together, we’re planning on going to the Mockingjay Part 2 premiere together.

  • Bernie W says:

My most memorable moment from Hunger Games is going to see the first movie in theaters with my wife.

  • Rachel says:

My most memorable moment is finishing Mockingjay and feeling the most infective me feeling of resolution and loss.

  • Madison M. says:

Most memorable moment was when I started making friends through reading the books and then i was able to meet them in person and see the movies together!

  • Savanah says:

Though there have been plenty of memorable (and insane) moments in this fandom, I have to say that my most favorite memory is watching the first theatrical trailer for The Hunger Games premiere on Good Morning America. I had so many butterflies waiting for it to premiere – it took me forever to get to sleep the night before because I was so excited! I even skipped the first part of school to see it (shhh). Seeing the opening shots of Katniss in District 12… I just could not believe it. To this day that trailer is my absolute favorite. It was so perfect and such a perfect time in the fandom. It’s incredibly sad to say goodbye to all of this, but I know the memories will live on forever! 🙂

  • Tyler says:

My most memorable moment was seeing Catchhing fire at Mindnight with all of my friends!

  • Adal says:

Most memorable hunger games a moment was discovering i was a fan of something. Not just the casual “approver” but someone who thoroughly loved a piece of literature.
More importantly getting to have a common interest with my family. I will never forget how THG series opened up all kinds of conversation for all 6 of us!(family members)

  • Ysa says:

My fave moment’s going to watch Mockingjay Part 1 with my friends on opening night and then watching it again the morning after. It was great being able to share my excitement and love for the books with them

  • Christina says:

My most memorable moment was watching the scene in Catching Fire where Katniss is being pulled from the arena by the hovercraft as it explodes beneath her. That scene was so beautifully shot and so emotional to watch. It was that moment in the theatre that I realized that telling stories is what I need to do with my life. Whether you’re making a movie, writing a book, or drawing a picture, the power you have to move and inspire people is extraordinary. I think the power of storytelling is one of the greatest on this earth.

  • silent1115xy says:

I can’t wait for this to get here.

  • Tony says:

My most memorable and favourite moment would have to be Global Fan Day in 2013, which truly united fans all around the world throughout the day with the stars of the movie and it was so great.

  • Leanne says:

The most memorable moment had to have been when I went to go see The Hunger Games at midnight with my mother and little sister. I had been so moved with the trilogy I just HAD to go see the movie at midnight. I hadn’t had the chance to do the same with the past two films but since Mockingjay Part 2 will be the last, I plan to go see that at midnight as well.

  • Julia says:

My most memorable Hunger Games moment has got to be in 2011 when the fandom was just starting and this magazine interviewer asked her twitter followers if we had any questions for Josh Hutcherson. I gave her my question and it turned out that she picked mine and he answered it! I remember freaking out so bad and thinking ” oh no this fandom has me sucked in already” it was great.

  • Dennis says:

My most memorable was waiting for the final book to be released and sittin at midnight to get it; now I’m waiting for the movie 5 years later!!

  • Bonding time with me and my daughter as we have watched all of them together in the theater.

  • My favorite memory is watching Catching Fire and being able to share my love for these films with all of my friends and family.

  • My most memorable THG moment has got to be seeing the first movie, before I even read the books. The trailer I saw before the Super Bowl *sparked* my interest, plus it reminded me of The Lottery. So when my roommate (I was in college at the time) invited me to see it with her and her girlfriend on opening Friday, I of course went. And walked out of the theater with my mind blown. I ordered the first book online soon after, and NEVER LOOKED BACK.

  • Michaela says:

My favorite memory of these movies was being the first in line for the midnight premiere of each movie! From Hunger Games to Mockingjay part two, I stepped into theaters and excitedly waited with my three friends, two of which I met at the first movie’s premiere. We made it a tradition to come back and be first every year. It was an incredible time and I was so glad to make new friends who adored the books and movies as much as I did

  • Seeing Mockingjay part 1 in imax in 2nd row,,,WOW!!!

  • Olivia H says:

Every year I go to see the movies with my aunt in the theaters its something we really look forward too 🙂

  • reneeliu0 says:

The best experience I’ve had in being a part of this fandom was the moment I finally saw/met the Mockingjay cast for the first time. Jen, Josh, and Liam mean the world to me and I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to go to the Ask Mockingjay event last year. These books and movies have been a huge part of my life because both the characters and the cast have taught me so much. Katniss showed me that it’s okay to stand up for what I believe in. My idol, Jen, taught me to not conform and to feel comfortable in my own skin. Although I’m sad to see the movies come to an end, I’m excited to finally see how Katniss will once and for all defeat Snow! It would be amazing to win this prize pack to add to my collection.

  • Fefe says:

I’m not sucking up, I swear, but my favorite moments in this fandom was hgfiresidechat and tweeting with everyone. Every time we got movie news, I couldn’t wait for Monday night to discuss things. I made some incredible friends and we made some hilarious inside jokes to last a lifetime. Every time I think of The Hunger Games, I’ll think of those nights and all the laughs. Thanks for the memories.

  • Emelin says:

My favorite Hunger Games moment was seeing new news about each movie, unraveling new images, fangirling. The whole experience was just very exciting! I loved counting down the days until each movie came out, except for Mockingjay Part 2 because I didn’t want it to end….
